Intercollege Larnaca

Larnaca

East meets West in Larnaca as both Christianity and Islam have revered religious sites here, with the mosque of Hala Sultan, an important Moslem place of pilgrimage, and the church and tomb site of St Lazarus, Jesus’ friend whom he resurrected from the dead.

The modern city of Larnaca is built on the shores of the Bay of Larnaca in the SE of the island, a few kilometres to the north of the ancient kingdom of Kition. It is characterized by its low relief landscape as no part of the city has an elevation of more than
50 meters above sea level.

The city of Larnaca is well-known for its picturesque sea-front which is beautifully lined with rows of palm trees, charming cafes and restaurants and a scenic boardwalk which is nestled alongside Larnaca’s nautical marina. The Larnaca seafront promenade – or ” Finikoudes” as is known in the local Greek dialect – is the city’s hub for action and events. Indeed, the promenade comes alive on weekends and during major festivals as diverse cultural activities are staged here. The most important of these for the city of Larnaca is Kataklysmos or the Festival of the Flood, celebrated in early summer with a series of cultural events.

Built near the seaside and enriched by beautiful beaches, people may think that Larnaca is only a summer resort destination but it is not only that. Larnaca is a town with many archaeological sites and places of interest. It has six museums within walking distance from its centre and its art galleries and workshops are real sources of inspiration.

The Larnaca Campus is housed in a new state of the art facility right at the heart of the Bay of Larnaca within meters of the serene Mediterranean coastline and only minutes from the town centre and the Larnaca International Airport.

For Intercollege Larnaca the new campus represents the beginning of a new era and is another example of Intercollege’s commitment to better serving its students. The new state of the art building offers the latest in teaching tools and a pleasant learning environment.

At Intercollege Larnaca, students benefit from quality academic programmes, small classes, professors who meet the highest standards for teaching and academic excellence, a magnificent campus, and state-of-the-art facilities. Plus, Intercollege Larnaca combines the variety and choice of a comprehensive

institution with the individual attention typical of a small institution. Intercollege Larnaca’s convenient location, in the heart of the tourism and business area of Larnaca, provides plenty of employment opportunities for many of its students.

The new multi-faceted building, which is wireless and features the latest multimedia equipment in all classrooms, includes lecture rooms, computer labs with the latest in hardware and software, graphic design labs and studios, a computer engineering lab, training kitchen and restaurant, a large and extensive library, an amphitheatre, a conference room and gym.

Additionally, the Intercollege Larnaca campus offers two unique features: The Bay View Café and Restaurant and the InterSalon. The Bay View Café and Restaurant offers great food at very reasonable prices as well as breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea in a relaxing atmosphere. The InterSalon is an outstanding Aesthetics & Hairdressing Salon and SPA with state of the art facilities and services. InterSalon offers a wide range of low priced treatments which are available to the public while offering students enrolled on these programmes the opportunity to train in a real life environment. Indeed, the new campus of Intercollege Larnaca provides every amenity a student needs to be successful.
