When to Apply

The College calendar is arranged so that students may start in September, January or June. In July, students can only register for English foundation courses. You should submit your application at least three months before the beginning of classes.

How to Apply

Local/EU Applicants

All Local and EU applicants should submit the following to the Office of Admissions:
1. Application Form
A completed Application Form, plus the Application Fee of Euro 52 (one-off/non-refundable payment).
2. Photographs
Two (2) recent, professionally taken, high resolution photographs.
3. Academic Records
Official or certified/attested copies (plus official or certified/attested English translations, where necessary) of:
a. For Undergraduate Programmes:
High School Leaving Certificate and Grade Report/Mark Sheet, or equivalent qualification.
b. For Postgraduate Programmes:
-High School Leaving Certificate and Grade Report/Mark Sheet, or equivalent qualification.
-Bachelor Degree and Grade Report/ Mark Sheet, or equivalent qualification.
c. For Transient Students:
Certificates and Transcripts/Grade Reports/Mark Sheets and Course Descriptions or Syllabi.
d. For Transfer Students:
See section on: “Admission Requirements”.
4. Reference Letters (Postgraduate Programmes only)
Applicants for Postgraduate Programmes are also required to submit two reference letters from their professors.
5. Evidence of English Language Proficiency
Official or certified/attested results of TOEFL, GCE “O” Level, GCSE, IELTS or Cambridge Exams (if taken).
6. Other Qualifications
Any other official or certified certificates or examination results.
7. Passport Copy (EU students only)
The passport must be valid for more than two (2) years.
The Office of Admissions will issue a Certificate of Admission showing the dates for student registration and commencement of classes. In order to confirm their admission in and registration at the College, Local and EU students should pay a non refundable tuition deposit of Euro 850. This amount will be credited towards the first semester’s tuition and fees.  Please note that EU citizens may travel freely
to Cyprus but are required to submit an Application for Issue of Residence Permit to the Migration Department within 3 months of their date of entry into the Republic of Cyprus. The Office of Admissions will assist with this procedure.

International (Non-EU) Applicants

As the Migration regulations change from time to time, it is strongly advisable that applicants contact the Office of Admissions for more information about the documents they need to submit.
International students who are not citizens of EU member states require a visa to study in Cyprus. The College will forward applications to the Migration Authorities for approval and advise applicants about the process.
Applicants from countries where there is a Cyprus Embassy/High Commission/ Consulate may need to attend a visa interview before coming to Cyprus.
If there is no Cyprus Representation in the applicant’s country of residence, the visa will be issued from Cyprus.  All international (Non-EU) applicants should submit to the Office of Admissions the following:


1. Application Form

Four (4) recent, professionally taken,

Secondary (High) School Leaving Certificate and Grade Report/Mark Sheet, or equivalent qualification.
b. For Postgraduate Programmes:
-High School Leaving Certificate and Grade Report/Mark Sheet, or equivalent qualification.
-Bachelor Degree and Grade Report/ Mark Sheet, or equivalent qualification.
c. For Transient Students:
Certificates and Transcripts/Grade Reports/Mark Sheets and Course Descriptions or Syllabi.
d. For Transfer Students:
See previous section: “Admission

9. Certificate of Good Conduct
An original Certificate of Good Conduct from the local police or government authorities in your country of residence, issued less than three (3) months before the commencement of your first semester’s classes.
10. Bank Letter of Financial Support
An original Bank Letter of Financial Support indicating that you or your financial sponsor (i.e. only your parents, spouse, or legal guardian) have the ability to finance your tuition and living expenses for the academic year.  The bank letter must clearly state your name and your relationship to your sponsor. If necessary, attach an affidavit to prove your relationship.
11.Copy of blood test for HIV, Syphilis and Hepatitis B and C and Chest X-ray report for Tuberculosis.

All documents (apart from 1,2,3, and 5) sould be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the applicant’s country of residence as well as the diplomatic representation of Cyprus. If the applicant’s country of residence is a part of the Convention of Hague, then all documents should bear the Hague Convention (1961) Apostile instead of the attestations mentioned above.
Candidates whose visas will be issued from Cyprus should submit all the above documents to the Office of Admissions with their applications. This applies only for applicants with no Cyprus representation in their country of residence.

Candidates who are required to attend a visa interview SHOULD NOT submit original Certificate of Good Conduct and Bank Letter of Financial Support to the

College. You will be required to show these documents to the visa officer at your interview. Please see the following section on “Visa Procedures”.
Please contact the Office of Admissions to confirm the documents you need to submit and whether you are required to attend a visa interview.

Visa Procedures
 
• The Office of Admissions will issue a
Certificate of Admission showing the dates for student registration and commencement of classes.
• You should then pay the tuition deposit
of Euro 3,200. The outstanding balance on the first semester’s fees must be paid upon registration.
The tuition deposit is refundable if the visa is denied by the Cyprus authorities. If the visa is approved and the student decides not to join, the amount of Euro 500 will be retained by the College to cover administrative costs.
• Upon receipt of the required application
documents and the tuition deposit (Euro 3,200), the Office of Admissions will submit your application to the Migration Authorities for visa approval.

Students from Countries where a Visa Interview is Not Required

• The Office of Admissions will inform
you as soon as your entry visa has been approved by the Cyprus Authorities and will send you a copy. You should not travel to Cyprus without a copy of your entry visa.

Students from Countries where a Visa Interview is Required

• The Office of Admissions will notify you
when to attend your visa interview.
• The following documents are required
for the interview:

a. Original academic credentials plus attested/certified copy and English translation (where necessary).

b. Original police character certificate and official English translation (where necessary).

c. Original bank letter of financial support.

d. Passport (valid for more than two (2) years).

e. College receipts for minimum amount of Euro 3,200 plus confirmation/receipt of payment from your bank.

f. Passport-size photograph.

g. Copy of blood test for HIV, Syphilis and Hepatitis B and C and Chest X-ray report for Tuberculosis.

*Please note that documents must not be laminated or covered in plastic in any way.
Note: We advise students to contact the Cyprus Embassy/High Commission/Consulate to confirm if there are any additional requirements for the visa interview.

Upon Arrival to Cyprus

• Please inform the Office of Admissions
as soon as you make your travel arrangements. You will be required to show the following items to the Immigration Authorities at the airport:
Please be advised that if the below requirements are not satisfied you will not be permitted to enter Cyprus.

a. Copies or originals (if available) of College receipts of Application fee (Euro 52) and Visa fee (Euro 86)

b. Copies or originals (if available) of College receipt of the tuition deposit (Euro 3,200)

c. Cash and/or travellers’ cheques (Euro 1,600).

d. All documents that were certified by the visa officer during the interview at the Cyprus Embassy/ High Commission/Consulate.

e. Certificate of Admission.

f. Open ticket valid for return to home country.

Migration and Ministry of Education

At the airport you will be given a two week temporary entry visa. After you register at the College, the Migration Authorities
will convert your temporary entry visa into a student visa for a maximum period of one year, renewable every year for the duration of studies. The Office of Admissions will
assist you with this procedure. International students studying in Cyprus on a student visa are required to maintain a full-time status (i.e. a minimum of 15 credits / hours per semester for undergraduate studies or 9 credits/hours per semester for postgraduate studies).
The Migration Authorities require all international (Non-EU) students to have a blood test (HIV, Hepatitis and Syphilis), and a Chest X-ray (Tuberculosis) after arrival in Cyprus. Detailed Information is available from the Office of Admissions.
International (Non-EU) students are permitted to engage in paid employment six (6) months after they have entered the country and may work part-time for up to 20 hours per week, in sectors of the economy specified by the Minister of Labour and Social Insurance or at private households which should be listed each time in the booklet M200 which will be provided by the government. During break periods (i.e. winter, spring and summer recess) students are permitted to work up to 38 hours per week. All employed students must enter into a contract, reviewed by the Department of Labour, which states the terms and conditions of their employment.
